Heyyy, I'm Sherry. If you plan to come to UiB or Norway to study, do an internship, or live, please don't miss the hidden spot that I highly recommend.
First of all, the spring semester is the best choice for you if you only spend one semester here, since the weather is becoming better and daylight is gradually longer. You will definitely love Bergen :)
okayy, let's get started with student events.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- international student cafe
IG: int.student_cafe
This is a place that offers free food every Tuesday to gather students from all over the world to chat and have fun. So please don't miss it if you don't want to cook or out of any other reason.
- Being a volunteer at TU-Fantoft
This is so fun that you will get to know locals by doing a volunteer shift here. Since the time is flexible, it will not occupy too much of your daily life.
- Visiting faculty bar
Take me for example, I studied in the Faculty of Science and Technology, so we have Integrerbar in Realfabygget ( science and technology building). Here, they have affordable drinks and amazing quizzes with prizes. So once you have time, do not hesitate to visit here during work days.
Btw, the names of each faculty are interesting:
- Smittbar - infectious (medicine)
- Straffbar - punishable (law)
- Diskuterbar - discussable (humanity)
- Kurerbar - treatable (psychology)
- Integrerbar - integral (science)
- Hiking on 7 mountains
There is no denying that you must visit the 7 mountains when the weather is sooo good. My favorite one is Rundamanen, where you can experience what is so-called the "Norwegian forest".
That's all for today! If you're interested in living in Norway, stay tuned:)
