有些東西還是得解釋一下，嗚。
Lost boys譯為「迷失男孩」，原文這個詞是用了《彼得潘(Peter Pan)》的典故，lost boys是在照顧者分心的時候，從嬰兒車掉出來的男孩，如果七天內沒有人來帶回家，他們就會被送到夢幻島，所以有個「不會長大的男孩」的意思。既然是這個典故，也許用目前《彼得潘》中譯本使用的翻法「失落男孩」也可以，但那樣翻如果沒有聯想到的話，會以為在描述心境，所以還是用了迷失，但在這邊把典故補上來。
Until the west was won很難翻，won這裡用的是一個很古老的意思，表示「千辛萬苦地到達」，這一句我的解讀是，通常人生要過完的時候，人才會回來關注當時內心裡的小孩，西方是日落的方位，象徵著暮年。但查了一下，在美國文學裡（像是《大亨小傳(The Great Gatsby)》），因為西部是拓荒的地方，所以往西方/西部移動，也有獲得自由的意思，這也有可能，不過就很難在中文裡表現出來了。
Roger Waters寫這首歌的確就是為了《海上鋼琴師(The Legend of 1900)》，不過那個 "the child in the man”，我不會想貼著電影劇情翻啦，我還是覺得它是更大的意思。
