Introduction

As AI continues to redefine digital design workflows, residential architecture and interior design are experiencing a fundamental transformation. Today, designers are no longer limited by traditional modeling pipelines, heavy asset libraries, or long rendering cycles. In this project, the focus is a single-family residential home, starting from a basic SketchUp exterior model created to establish massing, proportions, and spatial relationships. These AI-generated interior concepts were then refined and visualized through ReRender AI, transforming abstract ideas into coherent, photorealistic scenes.

Step 1: Creating the SketchUp Base Model for a Single-Family Home

To begin the render AI interior workflow, the process started with creating a SketchUp 3D model for a single-family residential home. The exterior massing was modeled first to define overall proportions, roof form, openings, and the relationship between indoor and outdoor spaces. This base model established the architectural structure and spatial logic of the house, serving as a stable foundation for interior exploration. Rather than fully detailing every interior element in SketchUp, the model focused on clean geometry and accurate room volumes, allowing the living room, kitchen, and bedroom interiors to be developed later through AI.
