Kumoyama
Kumoyama specializes in writing stories about cats, as well as science fiction blended with fantasy elements. Growing up immersed in classical Chinese literature alongside Japanese anime, manga, and games, Kumoyama was inspired by the light novel Kino's Journey during college and began writing doujinshi (fan fiction) based on the shooting game series Touhou Project. Later, his sci-fi work King of Shenzhou won the Fúwénzhì Newcomer Award(supported by Faust magazine, Japan). War of Game was selected as a finalist for the 3rd Taiwan Kadokawa Light Novel & Illustration Contest, and the wuxia short story The Great Hero won first prize in the 1st Gu Long Flash Fiction Wuxia Novel competition.
His latest work, Beware the Snip Snip, Black Cat!, draws upon 15 years of experience rescuing street animals. Written from the perspective of a black kitten less than six months old, the novel observes the survival philosophy of street animals and explores the impact of human activities on urban wildlife.Currently, Kumoyama is author, and editor of the independent publishing group "A Book A Year". He is also the host and producer of the podcast program "Big Black Cat, Little Wild Boar, and the Passing Chameleon".
