Marriage in Modern Society
Nowadays, marriage tends to be like a fairy tale to people because of the improvement of women's socioeconomic status. In Taiwan, most women believe they can live without a husband or a wife, especially after the legalization of same-sex marriage. If they got married, they would have the duty to take care of someone, or their parents might expect them to have a baby. Some women might also prioritize their career development. Once they get married and have a baby, they often have to take a long break from work, which reduces their chances of promotion.
In my opinion, marriage is not the only way to find love. However, if you want to get married and have a baby, I think it is better to do so before the age of 35. When you are young, you have more physical strength and a healthier body. In this day and age, staying single is also considered normal. You can choose who you want to be and do what you want to do. Marriage is not necessary for living a fulfilling life.
