During Chinese New Year, my family traveled to India to visit many heritage sites.
For example, we saw Amber Fort (琥珀堡), Hawa Mahal (風之宮殿), and Chand Baori (月亮水井). The Taj Mahal was built with white marble to represent the love of a husband for his wife.Next, we rode an elephant to Amber Fort and later took a jeep to leave.
There are 953 windows in the Hawa Mahal, designed for the royal women to look outside without being seen.
Finally, we visited Chand Baori, a deep stepwell arranged in a surprising geometric pattern, built to collect rainwater.
I think I did not enjoy Indian food very much, because almost every dish was made with curry.
The traffic was also very bad. For example, it was noisy because drivers often honked their horns at one another. No drivers yielded to pedestrians, and cows wandered freely on the streets.
But Indian children liked to smile and were very friendly when we met them on the street.
This was my unforgettable journey.
