(The Silent Inquiry)
DECISION — The Act of Cutting Away
In ordinary professional contexts, "Decision" is often misunderstood as an elegant choice—picking the "correct" path among many. But under the scalpel of Source Code, a decision has never been about acquisition; it is about "Abandonment."
Decision stems from the Latin Decidere. Its original meaning is chillingly physical: "To cut off."
In ancient logic, when you make a decision, you aren't merely selecting a better future; you are performing a deliberate "amputation." You must personally cut away all other possibilities, severing the paths of retreat and the "safe" options that dilute your focus. Without the sensation of this cut, what you have is merely a "preference," not a "decision."
A leader possesses weight because they dare to endure this fracture. Only when you have severed every excuse and escape does the single remaining path gain true Gravity and Manifestation.
A decision is a surgical operation you perform on reality to ensure the core survives.
【 The Silent Inquiry 】
When faced with a situation that refuses to move forward, ask yourself:
"Am I trying to preserve all possibilities, or do I possess the courage to cut off every retreat?"
"If you dare not cut away the excess, you will never arrive at the singular truth."
