2️⃣ Today's Reading
It was late at night. The sea was dark, and the wind was strong.
The disciples were in a boat, far from shore. The waves rocked the boat back and forth. Some held onto the sides. “Where is Jesus?” they wondered.
Suddenly, someone pointed. “Look!”
A figure was walking on the water—walking—as if the sea were solid ground.
“It’s a ghost!” they cried out in fear.
But the voice called back, calm and clear, “Do not be afraid. It is I.”
Peter stood up in the boat. “Lord, if it’s really You, let me come to You.”
“Come,” Jesus said.
Peter stepped onto the water. For a moment, he walked too.
But then he saw the wind and the waves. He grew afraid.
He began to sink. “Lord, save me!”
Jesus reached out and caught him. “Why did you doubt?” He pulled Peter back into the boat.
The wind stopped. The waves calmed.
The disciples fell to their knees. “Truly, You are the Son of God.”
