Sutra Calligraphy is one of the favorite experiences for international students at the Museum
承蒙星雲大師2025年新年賀詞「向前有路，光明在望」的勉勵與祝福，佛光山佛陀紀念館持續迎接越來越多國際學生的來訪。近兩個月來，佛館特別觀察到來自全台各大專院校的國際遊學團體日益增加。來自五大洲的學生齊聚佛館，親身體驗人間佛教的精神與文化內涵。
最可貴的是，他們樂於分享這段經驗——不論是口耳相傳與親友分享，還是透過社群媒體留言所見所感。當今世界多元且高度連結，學生對於一日的博物館之旅自然懷抱各自不同的期待與希望。而這些多元的期待，也意味著我們需要採取更具彈性與創意的方式，與年輕旅客進行互動與溝通。
在觀音殿唱誦佛曲、體驗抄經，或探索佛教茶文化——每次導覽的核心都是親身體驗。有些學生，特別是社群媒體上的網紅，更喜歡在大佛前發掘各種新奇的拍照角度。這個世界的變化日新月異。以下國際學生的回響展現出佛館不僅跟上時代的腳步，更持續啟發著新一代的遊客。

參訪佛館是一個深具寧靜與啟發性的體驗。作為一名國際學生，我感受到溫暖的接待，也被這裡每一處的美麗、靈性和細膩所感動。這是一個有意義的交流，讓我反思、學習，並與不同的文化觀點相互連結。我非常感謝有這次參訪的機會。

我特別喜歡玉佛殿的寧靜與抄經體驗，這是我以前從未做過的。參加MBTI測驗並在四塔中找到對應的菩薩，真的很有趣。佛館在結合美麗的花園與壯麗的建築方面做得非常好。整個參訪過程令人愉快，我度過了一段美好的時光。

最讓我印象深刻的就是這裡的藝術和建築。看到這裡的發展，尤其是絲路特展的設計和布局，讓我對佛教隨著時間的演變有了很好的了解。抄經體驗也是一大亮點，大家都非常享受這個過程，以及各自抄寫的法語。此外，這裡的法師和工作人員都非常熱情好客，整個參觀過程中，大家都樂於回答問題並分享意見。

Following Venerable Master Hsing Yun’s blessings for 2025 — “Keep Going, The Future is Bright” — the Fo Guang Shan Buddha Museum continues to welcome a growing number of international students. Over the past two months, the Museum has observed a notable increase in international tour groups from various colleges and universities across Taiwan. Students from all five continents come here to experience Humanistic Buddhism firsthand.
Best of all, they’re eager to share their experiences — whether by telling their families and friends or posting on social media. In today’s diverse and interconnected world, students naturally bring different expectations and hopes for their day at the museum. And with those different expectations come different ways to engage our young visitors.
Singing a song in the Avalokitesvara Shrine, practicing Sutra Calligraphy, or exploring Buddhist tea culture — hands-on experiences are at the heart of every tour. Some students, especially social media influencers, love to discover new angles for photos of the Big Buddha.
The pace of change in our world is faster than ever. The feedbacks from international students below show that the Fo Guang Shan Buddha Museum is not only keeping pace, but also inspiring a new generation of visitors.

Visiting the Buddha Museum was a deeply peaceful and inspiring experience. I especially enjoyed the serenity in the Jade Buddha Shrine and the Sutra Calligraphy, which I have never done before. Doing the MBTI quiz and finding your related Bodhisattva in the Four Stupas was a lot of fun. The Buddha Museum does a really good job in combining the beautiful gardens with stunning architecture. It was really lovely and I had a great time.

It was great that while seeing the Buddhist architecture and relics, we also had the chance to experience Buddhism first hand by doing meditation during the Sutra Calligraphy. The environment here is just beautiful and I really had a great time during my visit here.

The biggest thing that stuck out was the artwork and architecture. It was cool to see the evaluation and the layout of the Silk Road exhibit gave a really good idea of how Buddhism evolved overtime. Calligraphy was another highlight as I know everyone enjoyed the process and their own personal messages a lot. Additionally, the staff and Dharma were extremely welcoming. You were all open to questions and commentary throughout.
