The Departure to Bearton

Ever since returning from the Corridor of Memories, I have felt a strange restlessness in my heart every single day, as if something is calling me to find them. Leshi pressed his right hand against his chest; his heart was pounding violently.

Hu Ji’s expression had remained heavy since the day they returned. What should I do? If I leave without saying goodbye, it will only hurt everyone. Leshi closed his eyes tightly and shook his head.

"I can't keep running away. That only deepens the pain Hu Ji feels." Leshi mustered his courage and walked toward her.

"Hu Ji... I—" Leshi began, his face full of anxiety and guilt as he prepared to confess his resolve to leave.

"You don't need to say a word. I know." Hu Ji placed her index finger against Leshi’s lips, stopping him from speaking. "I’m sorry for making things so difficult for you. You are such a gentle child, Leshi."

"Since that day, I’ve been wondering what I should do. Seeing the determination and lack of hesitation in your eyes... if even you can do it, why can't I make up my mind to take a leap of faith?"

"Besides, a unique and mysterious creature like you truly can't be found anywhere else in this world." Hu Ji picked up her notebook, which was filled with detailed observations of Leshi.

"Leshi, you don’t need to feel guilty toward me, because this is my decision. I want to go on this adventure with you. I want to understand more about your abilities for my future academic research." Hu Ji’s eyes sparkled with confidence.

"Hu Ji, thank you!" Moved to tears, Leshi hugged Hu Ji tightly. He had prepared himself for the possibility that she might try to stop him, but he never imagined she would not only support him but choose to walk beside him.

"I also want to discover what it is I truly desire, and what the future holds." Hu Ji’s gaze as she comforted Leshi suggested she had finally accepted the hand of fate.

After bidding farewell to the Village Chief, the two of them set off toward the nearest destination: Bearton.

從那天起我一直在想自己到底該怎麼做？看到你充滿覺心毫不遲疑的眼神，連你都辦得到我又為何不能下定決心放手一搏？

而且像你這樣奇特的不明生物還真的天底下找不到第二個，狐姬拿起筆記上面滿滿都是雷希的紀錄。

雷希你不用覺得愧對我，因為是我決定的。我想和你一起冒險，了解更多你的能力，以便日後可做更多學術研究，狐姬的眼神充滿自信。

狐姬，謝謝你。雷希感動的一把鼻涕一把眼淚抱緊狐姬，他早已做好即使狐姬可能會阻止的覺悟，可沒想到狐姬非但不阻止反而願意同行。

我也想知道自己想要什麼，還有未來會如何。狐姬安撫雷希的眼神彷彿接受命運的到來。
